Charcoal Canister filter material?

Guys, what are we using for filter material in the charcoal canister? Mine are pretty bad.

Well, I grabbed a sheet of fryer filter paper from a buddy's bar across the street. Significantly thinner material than the factory sheets, so I might double them up...

When I was working in an aquarium decades ago…there was a filter material called “polyfilter”. I was about 1/4” thick and had extremely high absorption qualities for marine tank environments. We used it with a nice grade of carbon and water qualities always improved. The carbon was a huge part but I just thought about this stuff as I was reading here

It’s available in a few sizes apparently and in quite a few places and prices…this is only a suggestion. It is durable as I remember and if you read the descriptions…it could be a good thing to try
