they are a light-duty saw - if you are cutting a lot - get a Stihl or Husky - the Poulan won''t won't cut it
 
I have an 18" Mcculloch(spelling?) Bought it at C-tire about 15 yrs ago. Its 40 CC, runs sweet. Great trail saw. Small for carrying around. Not a good saw for getting your firewood set for the year or anything. But for small yard work or use on trail it is perfect.

my buddy had a 66 cc Husqavarnia and when I was sharp I wasn't too much slower than him.

Those little Poulans are going to be the bic lighter of chainsaws. Use it and when your done pitch it. No sense trying to repair it.
