You do realize that Electrolux (yes, the vacuum sweeper company) bought out Husqvarna, Partner, Jonsered, and Pioneer back in the late '70s and Poulon in the mid '80s.

Obviously not, or I wouldn't be making smartass comments that don't make sense.:o
 
I learned that for utility workers (lineman) a common practice is to drop start saws greater than 15 pounds.....as in......hold onto the starter handle and drop the saw to start it:eek: :eek:

And straight from OSHA's electric power generation, transmission & distribution regualtion:

1910.269(r)(5)(iv)

A power saw shall be started on the ground or where it is otherwise firmly supported. Drop starting of saws over 15 pounds (6.8 kg) is permitted outside of the bucket of an aerial lift only if the area below the lift is clear of personnel.

I like my husq. 455 for most stuff and a little old sears craftman for dirt work

I run a 24" bar and full skip chain with that saw. Great combo!
