CDL follow up with PIcs...still need help (1 Viewer)

Here is a picture of the proper connector for the center diff lock switch:

They are clearly not the same wiring, though they are the same physical connector configuration.

In post #14, I state that everything has been relocated....meaning that the connector was switched, I thought I was clear on that. My apologies for not making that more clear cut and specific. With the fuse still blowing out I made the other corrections (crimp taps and exposed wires) and now it works fine. Hence the reason I removed the pics.

Your post #11, slee#12, and gbell#13 cleared it all up. Again I should have provided more info and detail in order to prevent confusion on my behalf and on the other readers.

someone posted a copy of an earlier EWD that showed the CDL switch, no other changes so it matches up nicely with the later EWD,

Thanks for clearing everything up. Like Rich (and others), it was not at all clear to me that you found and used the correct CDL connector. Everyone is trying to help with problems and good feedback after you post an issue is essential. Also, get yourself a silver star so that you don't have to remove pics. We use these threads over and over; referring back to pictures like the one of the CDL jumper and foam padding posted by gbell.

Your post would be a good example of how *not* to tap into factory wiring.

I think PPC was involved? cant remember if he posted it or was in the thread...

Silver star....how do I get one of those? We are a people of example and I'm glad to contribute, even if it is to the "not do" pile. I find the not do examples leaving a better mark and memory than the "do" examples.
