CDL actuator

Has anyone here ever taken apart the little motorized actuator that sits on top of the transfer case, that locks and unlocks the center diff?

I've had problems with mine, took it apart and cleaned it up, etc. Now, I think I need to "index" it or something before I return it to the transfer case.

Anyone have any experience with this?
