Sorry to hear about your break in Glenn, hopefully you will be able to replace everything. My neighbour's house always got hit when ever they went away, now that their are new owners its been quiet (cross fingers). Usually they come back after a few months, since you will have the stuff replaced.
That's s***ty they took your winch Phil, it would be great if there was an easy way to catch these fxxxers. I had my one and probably only chance to fxxx someone up for breaking into my car a long time ago, just because my car was just out of view and I didn't see anyone lurking around, but I heard the noise of them breaking my window, but it sounded more like it came from the roof, so I went back to bed. The light bulb came on when my brother came over and told me 'looks like someone broke into your car'. I was so pissed they got away with it and took the little bit of change that was hidden in the console, and it cost me $300 deductible. I fully support capital punishment and public caning.

Breaking into a guy' s garage is one thing but his Cruiser !!! This is WAR - After my silent motion detection system goes in the garage I am going to have extra bear spray and a couple of Louisville Sluggers by the back door ... come on scumbags come and get it.

Yep, lost 3 stereos in a car once this way in less than a year. Finally smartened up and put a low end one in plus an alarm. Each time it was over $1000 in damage for a $300 stereo.
I stopped bothering with a car alarm, no one here pays attention to them and every time they did break into the truck to steal tools or stereo equipment, I have usually ben far away. The last tiem they cleaned out the truck, in my underground, while I was on vacation (Europe). THey were nice enough to use a screw driver on the lock, bolt cutters on the padlocks in the back, and took everything of value out. They must have done several trips or over several evenings. Bastards very likely live in the complex as they must have know I was gone for a while.
There is no point in trying to catch them on tape or camera as that is apparently not enough for cops these days, so just shoot the pricks so they never forget you. Knee caps are good

I found that 150db $20 ebay train horns hooked up to 5 gallons of air and alarm scares the fxxxers away. They still did $300 deducatable damge (still need to get that fixed too). Thieves can rot in hell, no use or asset to society what so ever. I wish i had beem able to get out there faster when the alarm went off, my next door nabour was out faster than I was and saw two run away.

The young alarm sales guy suggested a camera, but I said what is the point of paying $thousand and getting great footage of three hoodies stealing me blind - no point. There is only two options - catch them in the act or scare them away in the beginning.
The "pissing tool thief", who was caught on video, was arrested due to the video evidence.

My nephew bought it for my birthday one year. He bought it in Maple Ridge so it couldn't have been any exotic stores, rather a regular chain store or maybe a dollar store.
Speaking of warning signs, a buddy had a place up near Hundred Mile House and the sign on his property said;

El pico de Gallo is done as too is el pico de cabron. We'll see who has the lluevones to try el pico de cabron. 
Actually I was kind of disappointed, with the 'habeneros". I think they are more like a toned down scotch bonnet for the gringo market. Still hot enough to make me eat a bowl of yogurt to tame the burn.

Type of Mexican salsa which I usually do for our BBQs. The second one was a slight modification of the standard pico de gallo salasa.
