damn...im leaving for nelson tomorrow morning for :princess: class reunion. i did hand out all my flyers though...JP toy included. went in there today to get an oil filter. saw they took it down. i asked why..."mgmt doesnt want to solicit unofficial events" :censor:ers im starting to hate dealing with that place...

anyway, is there an easy overnighter trip after cruiser days? i want to bring the whole family...but dont want it to be way out there as i'll have my 2 month old with me...

We haven't decided yet, but they generally are easy trips. Last year we ended up at Hale Creek for the night, then did a scenic wheeling trip up around the north end of Chehalis and back down Mystery Creek way.

I will try and attend; it's on my way home from work in Nanaimo today. I'll be a new member. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Cheers,
Rob (Abbotsford)

Club meeting minutes:

Tales from the good time at Ernest Lake on the July 1 weekend.
Mat R spoke about eye safety when working under rigs. Mat also
mentioned the mess left in both Churn Creek and Ernest Lake after
we decamped. We must be more conscientious re campsite cleanup. :p

Cruiser Days. Most details are organized and under control. All members
should make sure posters are up at retail locations. Lisa & Justin will post
radio ads. There will be a 50/50 raffle and proceeds will go to Children’s
Hospital. Parking monitors will be Lisa, Drew, Kim & Jeff. The public
is invited from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers please arrive earlier, around
8:00 to set up canopy, PA system, etc. Raffle starts at 1:00 pm in 3 rounds.
Camping after Cruiser Days Saturday will be at Big Silver Creek, East Harrison. Mat is Trailmaster and will rendezvous at the Harrison Hot Springs gas station at 6:30 p.m. Mat, incidentally, was nominated and elected while he took a smoke break outside! ::bang:

-Whipsaw August Civic holiday weekend planning. Going up to Loadstone L.
Friday, August 3 will be Steve T, Chris H, Barry P, Justin VanH, Bill W &
Gary T. Coming Saturday will be Jeff, Rob Cz, Drew, Rod McD, Craig, Mat,
John, Marcin, and others. Steve T will be trail master and one suggestion was to try the Arasta Creek loop. :D

-New CC member is Steve Bales who drives a 1977 Red FJ40. A big welcome to Steve.
Also, we have 3 Robs in the club and another, Rob Schultz, may possibly be joining too. We may have to come up with more nick names. Now, let's see, what can we call el Presidente?

-A VHF Radio course will probably be starting in September.

-Raffle winners were: Jeff scored the inflatable pillow for use at work,
Lisa got a wire barbeque grill, egg crate and neat-o drink cooler, John
got the rugged flashlight, Millson got the Husky soft tool bag, Rob Schultz
the Fiskas axe, Mat a CD, Steve Bales a fuel Gerrycan and trouble light,
and Bill got a CD and pliers set.

-Meeting was adjourned by 10:00 as some members get up pretty early these days. BTW, Rob Millson is working his way up in the world: the 63rd floor of the Sangria La Hostel no less! :bounce2:

I was elected while in the can, from now on I am bringing an empty bottle and never leaving my seat.

Easy solution: sit behind large dude (ie. Steve T), drink a beer, piss in the can--perfect fit! :D

When you buy gas in Bangkok, Thailand, they give you a free plastic pee bottle due to the horrendous traffic jams.

OK, thanks Steve, my mistake. Say, if you have a good memory for names, I may nominate you for club Membership Coordinator! We usually do that when a member goes to the can....
