I've been away from this for awhile, but back in the day we (Downey Off Road Mfg.) sold aftermarket Cats because (a) they were smog legal, and (b) they cost 1/2 (or less) price than a factory Cat. We bought from Car Sound or Allied Muffler, my latest listing only goes up to a 1991 Landcruiser, it was part number 94005 (weld-on) or 23894 (bolt-0n). Then there was a later entry, #39004 that had smog legal E.O. #D-193-85. Check to see if any of this info supersedes up to your 1996 ???
