I need a California approved Catalytic converter ready fit and I was wondering if anyone had one that they liked and would suggest? did not pass the old smog test which was not a surprise. the guy said it wasn't even worth me spending money on a test because it failed the pre test test so badly. here are the numbers that were on the read out. He also said it smelled like there was a misfire (spark plug?)

Hc PPm 763
co% 0.48
co2% 10.7
O2% 6.4
No (X) ppm 95

any suggestions on what to check first?
I had the Carbarator replaced and not to sure if I should be checking anything with that?
I did take it in pretty cold and very low on Fuel saw somethings about this but didn't quite understand what it was all about.
Not a Truck guy, but trying to learn and do as much as I can myself

Be prepared for sticker shock. Magnaflow CARB-approved bolt in is a good choice, but any new CAT you put in will be fine, as long as it's CARB approved. I believe CARB has a website that shows what models of CATs are approved. Trouble is finding them. There's a shortage.

You can get part numbers that are approved for your truck here: CarbCats.com
Then search the part numbers on other sites for prices.
