Cat recycling (1 Viewer)

1 Maine Coon, and 1 Hairless. They are no longer of use to me. Any ideas on how much they are worth?

Actually, looking to get rid of the stock cats from my 97 FZJ80. Any places in Flag, the VV, PHX, Prescott, etc that someone can recommend to recycle them (and get some $$ for the precious metals inside)?

Might ask @leftarmtan he works or did work at a auto recycler. He probably has a idea where you will get the most for the precious metals.

ya I took mine to a regular recycler here and got bubcus. They just looked at me like I was crazy when I complained that they were only giving me steel weight for them. If you find a place that buys them for the platinum let me know.

Yeah and 5 minutes later they're cutting the things open for the platinum...

Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium! Not sure what they are worth but I imagine a descent amount. My buddy who worked for Penske said they had a huge problem with people cutting the cats off their trucks in the valley. I know gold overtook platinum in 2012 so not sure if its still commanding the premium it once did.

We have to weld cages around our cats on our rigs because they were disappearing so fast. There must be some money in them still
