I have a leak / crack in the header pipe where the two cylinder banks come together. When I pulled the assembly to weld the V I noticed the cat appears to be damaged when looking thru the outlet side. It just passed CA emissions and such.
Should I weld the pipe and re-install it or get a new cat? I'd really like to avoid spending a ton of money on it, but don't want to be in here again in a few months.
Anything I should check with respect to root cause? These are probably original cats with 210k on them.
