I have a receiver-hitch mounted Badlands winch and I'd like to power to it through an SB175. I'd like to run #2 wire from the engine compartment to the rear of my rig. Can people share with me ideas of where to mount a socket like this

I was thinking either on the undercarriage near the spare (which would make it hard to get to in 'dicey' situations) or in the cargo area, perhaps through the interior panel somewhere on the DS.

Curious to learn what others have done or are thinking of doing.

I keep my 7 pin connectors zip tied on the hitch and am able to remove it when I need it.

Another idea for me would be to route it from under the rear quarter to behind the tail light and from there into the compartment of the tools/ car jack. This is how I routed my cable for the ecoflow alternator charger.
In case you need it, you open the trunk, pull the cover, have access to you Anderson. And it's not fully exposed all the time.
