Ok i found somone selling front and rear carriers setup with factory 4.88 gearing out of a 93 mini. for 300 bucks. good bad deal? will they work in my 86 ifs 4runner?

Yep, the rear will be direct drop in. The front may need a little work. If the 93 has the auto hubs then you might have to swap the long side shaft and housing off of your front and onto the 4.88 one. If the 93 had locking hubs then it will be a straight swap.
Also, if they are factory 4.88s then it is a special carrier and aftermarket gears won't fit. Just in case you are thinking of going lower someday. If they have been regeared then you are good for any future upgrades.
