Carplay screen install on LX 470?

Hey all - I've been thinking about trying to install a CarPlay screen on my LX 470 ('04 factory nav). Having owned it for a while, I realize that I basically never use the factory screen for anything. My thought was to mount a CarPlay screen in front of it, (such that it's in the red box) but I'm trying to figure out a good way to do so, that doesn't damage any trim and could be uninstalled in the future. If it could flip up for occasional access to the factory screen, so much the better, but not mandatory.

Has anyone attempting anything like this? Any thoughts on mounting options?

this is a big can of worms. there is a screen called "teyes" i think that some people are using, because it can aparently control the HVAC.
there are many , many threads and hundreds of hours of reading that you can do on all the possible options on this forum

What do you mean by can of worms? I'm not looking to replace any of the stock hvac controls.
