Has anyone removed the carpet on a 200? Is it possible to do with removed all the seats? Or does every side panel pretty much need to be take off too?

Got a little over zealous with a water crossing and need to dry it out before mold or anything.

2018 model year.

Thanks for your time.

leave it in, just stick a dehumidifier in the truck and close the doors. This is what we do on boats it works great. you might need to empty it a few times.

This is what I have been doing. The topside of the carpet is good...but i removed the door trim pieces and I can feel the pad underneath is still pretty soaked.

How long should I leave it? It has already been about 36 hours. Thanks

Replaced the entire front carpet on my LX about 3 months ago. You have to take out the seats, and every side panel from the front to the 2nd row "step" that leads to the 3rd row. The rear quarter panel pieces can remain. That's the easy part. To remove the carpet itself you will need to discharge the freon in the cool box because those lines must be disconnected.

Whatever you do, don't unscrew the line, get surprised when that crap blows all over the place, and frantically try to tighten the bolt back, not realizing the o-ring blew, stripping the aluminum connector, so that you have to get under the truck and replace the entire line because trying to tap that line in place was rage inducing. Ask me how I know.

The center console actually lies over tabs that are holding the carpet in place, so you will have to disassemble if you are trying to yank the carpet out entirely. Get a friend on the left side 2nd row seat, it is one ungainly piece.

All in all a very easy job if you have a place to pull and organize things
