Cargo Carrier

Does anyone have any recommendations for luggage/cargo carriers for the factory roof rack? There are several on the Thule and Yakima websites to choose from, but none of them show clear compatability with the FJC. Really just looking to pack some extra luggage, no skis.

I think it is pretty nice. Gives you a fully functional roof rack. If that isn't enough room, consider a Tow hitch carrier. Everthere Carriers makes a really nice one. Check it out here at:

You can also just add on the Yakima or Thule cross bars and then add any of their accessories. Have fun!

That Garvin addition looks good. If it's not too expensive, then it would be worth it. Otherwise, just buy a whole new rack.


Ok I just looked into that Garvin add-on. Those people are smoking Crack - They want $540.00 for that add-on. You can go get a whole rack for just a little more and it would be all one piece (ARB for example).

I hear you. But it does look sweet. I am considering it because I like the factory rack and don't want a different one.

I was able to find it on 4by4connection.com for $461.55. Still pricy but better than what you found.

The Tuffy Lockbox mounts on the leading edge of the roof rack and has a wind deflector. You can mount off-road lights in front of that if you're so inclined. 4x4groupbuy is selling them for $338. It's an aluminum box, "locks" and leaves the bulk of the rear storage area on the OE rack empty for more stuff.
