Here. Now.
Maybe I need to post this in the 60 forum, because that's where I got most of my infomation. My carb fan never worked right: PO had wired it to an accessory circuit, that was no good. I tried for awhile to re-wire it properly, until I finally realized that the fan controller thingie was wired to the voltage regulator, which I don't have anymore... Anyway, I finally decided to rewire the whole thing with an aftermarket adjustable fan relay/switch. Easily done, I can now adjust the temperature when it clicks on and off, and I'm wondering why I didn't do this much sooner!

I'll have to wait awhile until I can see if hot starts are easier, this was a minor yet annoying issue for me, especially in the summer.

I still need to optimise the temperature ( the sensor is placed near the carburetor) for my needs, but it turns on when its hot, and shuts off eventually...

I'm happy. :)

How did you set up that fan relay/swicth? I got the fan and I'm thinking of just putting on a timer whenever I need it. But I think your set up is better. Thanks.

It's just an electric fan relay/switch for your average aftermarket (and maybe OEM) electric radiator fan. I wired it in to the input wire of my old fan controller (the one with the 5A fuse) then hooked it to my cooler fan. You could put the thermocouple probe in the radiator per the instructions, I hooked it up near the carb and zip-tied it to some vacuum hoses to start. This one is adjustable, from 100-160 degrees, I think, right now it runs 15min or so after I stop, I still need to optimise that, I've only driven it a couple of times so far.

A cool thing about this relay is that it has 2 power wires so I can in the future maybe add an additional cooling fan if I want...
