After rebuilding my carb, I get it installed and when I pull the throttle, my butterfly does't open. I'm looking at the carb and figure out what the missing link is I could brings some pictures to demonstrate to you what;s happening, but I am confused and really need your help because I really need to get this truck running so quick help is greatly appreciated. BTW It's a 81 4x4 pickup with a 22r

if you installed the butterfly upsidedown or backwards it wont open. or if you overtightened the rod that they open and close with it wont open.

but if they are in the right spot, and its not too tight, there is maybe half a millimtere of movement you can get out of the butterflys after you loosen the screws.

take it off and loosen them and move them around till it works.

Solid advice right there. Track every step of movement between the very end of the throttle cable, to the last moving part associated. I know the carb on my FJ60 is really sensitive to the smallest problem, and I can't imagine the 22r carb being a whole lot different.

It's all good I fixed it. I was thinking the top butterfly was supposed to open with the throttle, but that is the bottom. Carb runs smooth, only problem is it can't keep up a cold idle( i mean I have to warm it for like 10 min.) and the truck overheats, don't know why but I'll change the thermostat and the water pump
