Can't find the spindle wrench

I have a 2010 Lx570. Got the Jowett oil filter housing, but the spindle nut wrench that came with it is rounding out. Can't find the replacement. K-D part 2462. WR hex spndl nut 2 1/2 marked on it. Does anyone know where to get this thing. Looks like Jowett is not in business currently. Too bad, this is a great part. Thanks!

Are you having trouble sourcing, or with the socket fitting? A sharp cornered 2 9/16” may work if the 2 1/2” is too small. We ran into manufacturers tightening specs and causing that issue some years back.

Actually the 1/2 inch square opening where the 1/2 in ratchet attaches is rounding out. The socket itself is working fine, and fits the filter housing perfectly. Just hoping to find a back up wrench/ socket in case the original fails. So, trouble sourcing. Can't find it on the internet. Thanks!

Maybe you could run a bead around it and machine it square again? Or do it with files in a pinch.

If you're going to weld on it, you might as well weld a small 1/2 drive extension to it.
