Canopy Pole Pegs

When I was in Thailand this year I saw something like this for canopy poles.

These ones are 30" of 5/8" rebar with 1 1/8" ID conduit welded to the sides. Just hammer into ground and canopy poles fit within - hoping this might eliminate outboard staking. With the pole removed I can tap the conduit from underneath to get it out of the ground.

I will see how they work next weekend ....
