Can you convert a 72 to fit ambulance doors?

That pretty much says it. Any ideas? I think I can get my hands on the sides and ambulance doors that go with my new hardtop, but how much work will it take for the 72 to fit?

i think the rear sill is different for our early 40s,

but if the sill is all nasty and rusted, like most are, you could probably replace it with a later year sill and do the rest of the mods to the tub (i think the bottom corners are a little different too...)

have you thought about just modifyin the top so that you can use the rear hatch? that would be easier i think and you could retain the two piece tailgate (better with the top off)

My rear sill is great, no rust whatsoever, which is lucky, but I thought I might use the half-doors with the top off and the ambulance doors with it on.

I'm stoked because I just found out my neighbor (2 doors down) has 2 fj40's in pieces in his garage and doesn't have the desire to put them back together. It's like my own little parts store. I think he has a 77 and a 78, haven't seen them yet though, hopefully tonight.

Anyway, because my sides and back hatch are bit rusty, thought I might do the swap. I'm not sure they are so bad off that they couldn't be fixed. I'll post a pic today so maybe someone can give me advice.
