The axle housings are seriously trussed and his steering arms are super beefy, one offs that plug into both the top and bottom knuckle studs.

Back on topic here, OpTimUs, I see nothing wrong with your Axle specs. Diamond makes some super bling gear, but with some work, the Yota housings can hold up to lots of abuse.

Either way.... just add $$$.

Flame suit is on.

o.k.
1: what is flame suit?
2: Where do I get some of his steering arms?
3: The diamond axles are Bling but I did find a thread the other day and some builder was using 6mm wall 50x75 RHS to truss the housing. That is some thick trussing!

Tached out

woa that cool.
Is that toyota junk?

The buggy making the jump is a friend of Nutleys too.
It has a Tundra 4.7L V8, built (top secret;)) dual cases, Diamonds rear with custom 35 spline LC 9.5" ring gear, Diamond front with HP 8" and 30 spline Longfields. Pitbull is sponcering him in the XRRA and hes running 42"s.

I cant ever see myself driving an automatic but its super cool that hes still running leaf springs

The auto in that truck is awsome, I wouldn't have it any other way. With the power you are aways going so fast you would never have time to shift, and yeah you can see more the raisins early days in my homegrown link :) Ben is my homie

you should have no worries running 38's on yota junk but I still wouldn't drop 3g's into one but that may just be me.

heya bustanutley, I am feeling that for just a trail rig diamonds may be tooo expensive. :frown:

But in one of your threads I read something about staying with 4.11 gears why is that? Is it because of the increased flex?

I can't stay with 4.11 R&P because 80 series chunks (I will have an 80 series rear) dont have gears made in 4.11.

how is the gear ratio related to flex???

whaaaaa? a Toyota axle that doesn't come in 4.10?

4.11s are stronger than lower gear sets. have to agree with wtf no 4.10/4.11 option? 80 series here have 4.11s factory. they run a higher gear set because everything is diesel?

I have my factory 4.10's if you would like them... :p

yessiree boss, 60 series cruisers come in 4.11...... I don't know if that is good or bad.......:hmm:

Bustanutley has said that the lower R&P are stronger than the higher ratio R&P, however he ha not said why. I can guess and say that it is due to the amount of steel and dia of gears in the pinion head.

Hi All:

What front axle comes in the Ford Super Duty pick-up? ("ute" for you Aussies!) :D

I know the Super Duty is sold in OZ. Go check the wreckers for a victim, er I mean source! ;)

Regards,

Alan

LC stuff is nice. :D
And yes I will most likely spend $2700-$3000US on the front diff alone, However for me to get a built, locked, 35-spline, high-steer Dynatrac to Darwin in Aus would cost much more initially, and exponentially more to maintain.

Hey Josie.
The super duty comes with a D60 front but I won't be able to get one to Darwin for under $2000. That's bog-stock standard.:frown:

You most likely will not be able to break a bog-stock standard D60..

Get the sterling rear as well.

Done..
