I'm in need of tires, it's stock gears, 22re 5 sp.... Can I fit 33" with out a lift?? Or do I need to lift it, I got 31" right now, but I'm curious about going bigger and don't know if I need to lift or get a leveling kit...

search around.
what year truck?
what width tire and what backspacing on your wheels?
do you mind chopping/hammering your firewall?
any sag in your old stock suspension?

borrow some wheels in whatever size that you're looking at and see if they work.

Sure you can fit 33's, there's a guy who fit 35's with no lift. You're going to have to cut the back fender up if you ever want to go over bumps without rubbing.

It's probably....lets try that again, your truck will be a dog with 33's and stock gearing. Ask how I know. Your clutch will wear much quicker with bigger tires and stock gearing. Your gas mileage will suck with bigger tires and stock gearing. You will be down shifting sooner and more often with bigger tires and stock gearing.

But hey, it might look cool.

For 33s 4.88 gears would be ideal. Could be manageable if you dont have to climb alot of hills.

33s fit on both 86-89 and 90-95s with minimal trimming, mainly just the pinch weld. Getting a narrower tire such as a 10.5 helps.

Agreed on 4.88's gears. If you could find a 33x10.50 (haven't seen one before) that probably wouldn't be too bad on turning radius. You could also get rims with a certain backspacing to keep a 33x12.50 (very common) from rubbing steering components on turns but that would cause you to have to cut more sheet metal.
