Hey guys, this saturday is the Expedition Portal Meet and Greet at the Rose Bowl.... and afterwards we're heading up Highway 2 into the Angeles forest to camp. If anyone wants to join us... you're more than welcome too... we'll be camping in an actual campground.

Post up if you're interested and i'll get you the details.

FAWK - I've got to resolve thie code 26 first. Beast died twice to/from the restaurant last night because she's running so rich. I can't risk an adventure up the mountain the way she's running right now...and I've got to solve it by the 7th for a trip to Norcal! ARRRGGGGHHH!!! It would be fun tho!

Yep died - running WAY TOO RICH. Ohm meter is going on both sensors tonight to measure their resistance. Will inspect those two splices at the same time and CAREFULLY remove the electrical tape on them for a visual. Will also take the volt meter to the E1 circuit and test it per the FSM as I really think that and possibly the sensors being bad...again are the issues. I resigned myself a long time ago to sending Dan $$ for sensors about every 30K miles.

:flipoff2: Even tho it 'seems' like I've got the code 26 resolved, I now have tee times both Sat. and Sun.

I'm never going to get out. :censor:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Saturday is a standing, which I can break. Sundy is with the :princess: that I committed to when I thought the truck would be down and out for the weekend.:flipoff2: Can't break both of them, besides the way I've been playing lately... :censor::whoops::censor::whoops::censor::censor:

8:55 am and that's late for us. We usually like to tee off before 8 and be done before noon.

If it were an afternoon tee time, I'd be more tempted.

Cursing the truck...even went OUT to lunch, turned the A/C on full to tax the engine and no recurrance of the CEL. At least the A/C smells purty again after the BG FridgiClean bath.

It didn't between Sunday and Monday. First code Sunday, cleared it to see if it would come back and it did within 5 minutes of driving the truck Monday evening.

I suppose I could still run the other volt diagnostics out of the FSM, just not sure w/o the code registered if it'd be worthwhile.

Guess we'll see.

try a new gas cap....and a tank of premium.
sounds like a good hot run up a hill will do it some good!

Ha - gas cap isn't one of the items listed as a probable cause and I just filled up with good old regular this weekend before gas goes up again this Tuesday! She s going to get the workout up the grapevine tho! I'll be filling up half way up the central valley again anyway - can't get anywhere close to the bay area on one tank!

Tell me about this BG stuff. I've got a swamp somewhere under my dash. this stuff works?

Where do you buy it? BG products used to be hard to find. Still?

thanks

Here's the link to the entire thread about cleaning your a/c. Near the end of the thread there's a link to a local company selling the stuff. They are here in Lake Forest and delivered quickly.

I just followed Jim's instructions and that on the package. I'd been the one that did an inspection of the truck he bought here in SoCal an it did have a horrible smoke smell from the PO. To have Jim say this stuff took away that odor says a lot. I had an odor, although not as offensive as a smoke odor from all the Anza Borrego dust accumulated over the years. It's gone now.

Simple procedure and the gunky water that came from my a/c drain was pretty dirty!
