Well, a reserved group camp kind of fell into my lap for this weekend. Im never the one to pass it up. The group camp vehicle limit is 8 and we have 6. Physical limit on people is 40, so however many you want to pack into your Cruiser your good :D

So that being said, if anyone wants to join us..LET ME KNOW by PM'ing me or replying to this thread. Check in is 2pm on Friday and checkout is 2pm on Sunday.

We'll run a trail saturday, we're doing a potluck Saturday night and we'll do some fishing on Sunday if anyone is interested in that.

Campground we'll have all to ourselves with picnic tables, fir pit, toilet (supposedly), no running water:
Facility Details - Recreation.gov, Juniper Springs Group Camp (CA) - Recreation.gov

It's not often in the summer , you can get a guaranteed spot. So take advantage of this and the nice weather up there this weekend. There will be wives and children present, along with dogs. So all is good as long as your friendly :D

ONCE AGAIN, LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO HEAD UP AS THERE ARE ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT AND IF I DONT KNOW YOU'RE HEADING UP YOU MAY NOT HAVE A SPOT WHEN YOU ARRIVE. :frown:

I'd like a spot if still available. PM sent.

Derrick

How was the trip Dave?

I was headed up to Big Bear via 38 on Saturday and saw a dark 80 modded up and towing a trailer heading down the mountain. Gave a quick honk hello :)

I was hoping I might get to stop by and say hello to you guys, but timing didnt work out.

The trip was awesome as always. Got up there Friday around 6pm... .cool temps and out of the heat. Hung out, got up the next morning and we took a trip up to Onyx peak... then a loop for lunch and a moderate trail back to camp. It was awesome. Next morning i got up to fish bright and early.. and then headed back.. slowly packed then off to a friends for a night stay at their cabin.

Im wondering if i need to do a trip report? What do you say Derrick? Pieholes

Brad, yeah.. wasn't us i don't think because if you saw us Saturday we'd be with 5 other rigs and the trailers were both basecamped.

Dave,
I would say that "the piehole show" was the highlight of the trip
