#3 Is a hoax does not work http://www.snopes.com/photos/food/mountaindew.asp
#7 Sandpaper will not light matches unless they are the strike anywhere kind. Then, well, you can strike them anywhere, like on a rock. No need for sandpaper.
#11 You will freeze your a$$ off in a two person bag unless you spoon all night. To many air gaps for drafts to get into.
#13 Just steal the antibiotic ointment single use packets from the first aid box at work they are already packaged and labeled. That way you don't confuse the antibiotic soda straws with the KY soda straw.
#17 You should be using environmentally friendly liquid camp soap.
#30 I live in sage country, never seen a fire made entirely of sage keep mosquitoes away. I can't imagine a little bundle like that would do much.
#33 Everything I've ever cooked in a hollowed out orange tasted like burnt orange peel. This is one of those things that has been around forever and has never worked except in books.
#34 Or just use the back track function on your GPS.
#36 http://www.target.com/p/reliance-luggable-loo-portable-toilet/-/A-10305843, cheaper than buying the stuff to make the emergency toilet.

The rest of the stuff I've either used or looks like it would be okay. Especially the scavenger hunt for kids, what could possibly go wrong with that idea?

I agree with much of what rusty said.
I think a double bag is a great idea when its just you and the missus.
But buy two of the same style rectangular bags and just zip them together when you want and keep separate when you're solo.
Also, skip the tea tree oil thing for ticks and treat your fav hiking and/or hunting clothes with permethrin. It's good for several washings and ticks and other disease ridden biting bastards don't deserve any mercy.

A little neosporin ointment (not the cream) is petroleum based and would probably work in a pinch if you were out of ky, butt be careful with that packet of icy hot......

Btw, the dry ice idea is really smart. Skeeters are drawn to carbon dioxide so I imagine that could work. Nice one.

A small block of Dry Ice in a bucket 50ft away from camp will greatly help with keeping the mosquitoes down. Been doing that for backyard BBQs in North Carolina.
We used dry ice to "bait" mosquito survey traps when I worked for the health department. They confuse the CO2 with a mammal breathing out CO2. Never thought of using it that way before.
