I am looking for input on a camp Kit/Chuck box. I want make a great design that meets the needs of most Expeders and car campers. I would appreciate your ideas. I am planing to begin with a stand alone Kit. and then down the road take what I learn and apply it to other more conplex Kits.
Any input is appreciated.

I recently found a DIY book from the 40's era. In it were plans for a "Carpenters tool box". It had one feature it had that I thought would be very useful for a travel kitchen design. The door on one side not only hinged out but additional "doors" hinged off of it so that side expanded like an accordion. Each section was a couple of inches deep allowing tools to be hung from it. For a travel kitchen you could make have some small shelves for spices, condiments and box side dishes as well as places to hang utensils. Maybe a pot holder/towel rack too.

My wife bought a nice aluminum folding kitchen from REI that worked well on a week-long expedition we did last summer, but it's pretty big and we stowed it on the Gobi rack. Can't find it on their web site now, I don't know what happened to it. Here is a photo of it in use though:

I have been thinking about this for a while. My ideas right now are based off of the Swiss field desk deisgn. Seems to have the ideal set-up to me. Here is a thread over on the Expeditional Portal with lots of ideas:

Post #57 has the Swiss desk. I found a site with thes for around $40. But, I am thinking of building a custom one based off of this design that will hold my grill, has drawers that pull out to hold utensils, small things, etc.
