No problemo Stan. I'll get in 18 holes instead. :D

Oh sure the rest of us are not good enough for you? :flipoff2: I am day triping it too. :flipoff2: Feeling guilty yet?

I'm tempted, but damn, $200 in gas....

Make a day of it? I might be able to do this.
Brent are you in?
Mo, are you caravaning? what start time, Sat? Where?

Stan, sorry I just realized I missed your question. Appologies. Wish you could make it.

Any others, I know it is late but Tare and I will be meeting at Chapman west exit off of the 55. The first gas station on the right at the first intersection. I think it is a Chevron or a Mobil. I will be on CB 33 and we are leaving at 7:30.

See the rest of you up there. Except Brent who will be golfing, sipping fine wine and eating caviar while we get dirty. :flipoff2:

$200 in gas? what do you drive a dragster?

not a dragster, a tank, but I would certainly indulge in a bit of low range dragstering when there... :)

Hope the clean up was successful. Had a very uneventful 82 on Saturday.

I dont think anybody went from SC80s this year...:D
We'll have better luck getting pics from Brents round of golf! :hillbilly:

Great event :) Few 80’s: cool camo one, couple of JAFW’s. More heeps and FJ’s than anything but it was all good :D

Ian Rogers, Vistataco and Darwalk, one of them was helping with the cooking. For the rest of you slackers :flipoff2:

Worked our ass off cleaning up and hauling some heavy bullet ridden metal out of a remote canyon including three man-hole covers, washing machine, propane tanks, steel rims, along with ~6x full bags with rusty cans, glass, spendt shells, muffler, old toys, and misc junk such as:

My friend Byron and I decided to pass on the traffic Friday and chose to leave Irvine Saturday morning at 5:00am, it took us a little under 2 hours to make the trip out to Calico. We drove up Mule Canyon Road and Ollie had placed an Adventure 4x4 banner off the trail making it simple to find camp. We set up out in the open next to CruiserLarry and SunnyGrill's camp which had a great view of the whole desert. We unloaded our gear and made some hot coffee.

Niko's new Adventure trail is sweet!

This year the Cleanup headquarters were in Barstow, so we headed back to town to sign up and pick up our burlap bags and T-shirts.

We headed out to Peggy Sue's Restaurant to cleanup the field nearby. What a mess. BigDave brought his trailer and we made quick use of it. Thanks Dave.

We tried in vain to hook up with the guys. We did finally find them but they were 800 ft. below us.

Niko's always provides fine dining while camping. Steak, corn, veggies and a bottle of wine. First class baby!

We kept the fire small but it was warm.

Exploring Calico Mountains

Sunday morning 5 rigs decided to go explore the lesser known areas surrounding Calico mountain. Is was a day not to forgotten, great trails and vistas shared with good friends and only some minor carnage.

Stopping to review our maps and decide on a route.

On our way back Niko broke a shock tower destroying his nice reservoir Fox shock and spraying me with hydraulic fluid. We tied it off and cruised back to the freeway where we said our goodbyes. No pics, sorry.

I took off from Calico heading northwest, following an unnamed SCE access road I found on Google. I wanted to visit my mother-in-law and get there via dirt since she lives on 150 acres on the outskirts of Hinckley (Eric Brokovich fame) next to BLM land. It was a great ending to a super fun weekend.

Tare and I had a small adventure getting out there. I got up to the sound of Scott barking like a seal with croup, again. That made me a little late meeting up with Tare and then we missed the exit once we got there and couldn't find the new check in area. We did eventually meet up with Braeden and nick but it was about 11. We had bags and we headed out on our own to do a little wheeling and pick up anything we could find along the way. Never did get to sign in and prove some more SoCal 80's were there. :frown: But we did get the rigs dirty and crawl some rocks.

We picked up a very nice couple in a mildly modded TJ along the way and showed them around on thier first time there. Good times.

A few pics I got which wasn't many. Braeden took the most by far.
