What parts that are not painted or are not chrome, glass, plastic or rubber on a 65 fj45 lpb get yellow cad plating?
Everything or not?
This question comes about after viewing the old threads and seeing something about breakline plating. Do all the breakelines get yellow cad plating? Mine are not visibly coated.
I am trying hard to do this right the first time and have an as close to stock look when done as possible.
thanks.

Blue-

I have no idea....but hell, after 97 views and no posts....I figured I'd at least reply :) I don't think the brakelines were cad-plated. Just left bare metal....nothing special. It certainly wouldn't hurt to cad-plate them....just don't get it inside :)

I think the cad-plating on the smaller bits really stands out on any restore-project! You'll appreciate the time/effort it takes once they're done and installed on the rig.

There are a few guys on here that have cad-plated their stuff themselves....may want to do a search on the main page.

Best o' luck!!

I have a post going now with regards to cad plated bolts.

From what I can tell all bolts/screws were Yellow Cadmium. Brake lines where not. I am working on sourcing proper bolts to use for general restoration of my cruiser b/c looking for bits and pieces is too much trouble for the entire build. Will do that when it is really important but don't want on bolt to hold things up.
