Hi guys, Ive just got a pair of after market fog lights to fit into the factory bumper, as to buy it through toyota nz would cost me an arm and a leg. The vehicle is a 2013 Landcruiser 70 series dual cab

Just want to know if anyone knows how i can install it so the light in the instrument cluster also comes on. Also do i have to buy a new turn signal switch so that it will have a fog light switch on it aswell. Do the landcruisers come pre wired like the hilux? Or will i also need to run a wiring harness?

Thanks guys

Great looking new truck!

Not knowing specifically your truck but Toyotas in general: If the lights are an option, the wiring is probably already in your wiring harness. With the help of a good Toyota parts counter, look up the replacement jumper harness that goes from the lights to the main harness in the truck. Then look up the switch for it that will go into an unused knock out on the dash. The switch and the jumper harness usually are all you need to power aftermarket lights. Like a nice set of Rigid Industries LED lights.

Here in the States we have done this for FJ Cruisers and Tacomas (Hilux). The small jumper harness is usually about $40USD and the switch around $20USD.

Toyota of Dallas for example sells this as a kit for FJ Cruisers: http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-7001

Best of luck!

Hello,

The wiring is there. Check by the fenders on the engine bay.

You might need cables to hook up your lights. Check "cowl wire" in the parts catalog.

Other than that, it is a bolt-on installation.
