Bummer, I went out to cruiser this weekend to drive to store to get some dinner and a loud thunk and then no start. Try again and then click then lights dim. I think its been a few weeks so the battery is drained, so i'll just charge the battery overnight and look at getting a new one. Check the voltage and it 12.0 V but I thought that lead acid batteries always read this way so I charge anyway. Next day Click, spin spin spin. Its got power to turn but the gears are not engaging. Do a search and think I need new starter contacts and plunger rebuild. Get Dan on the phone and he needs a model number since there are 2 different starters. Go out to look and it is not a toyota starter, no label and looks a bit different then posts. Back to dan and $250 + and a remanufactured is on order. Bummer just when I thought I got all the bugs and maintenance worked out accept the AC and I am out $$$. I guess the AC will have to wait. At least the starter seems easy to replace.
