Working on replacing the exhaust system.
These are the parts purchased for the replacement.
I am not replacing the original resonator and pipe or the cushion. All parts shown are for the full system except the resonator itself.

It appears that it is all 409SS. All from Magnaflow.

Muffler is a bit smaller that the Bosal brand. It appears Magnaflow bought Bosal and is now BRExhaust.

I had 89,810 miles on this old exhaust system.

Was just searching exhaust options for my wife's 80. How's your set-up holding up after 6 months of use?

Excellent.

I really like the Magnaflow setup. It is slightly more rumbly than the previous version but not at all annoying. No tiring exhaust drone at highway speeds.

The only thing I can hear is a hiss when I'm pushing it because the flange on my stock resonator pipe is heavily rusted and it has blown out the gasket on part of it.

I had a rattle right after I installed it, but I realized it was because I forgot to anchor the rear header pipe to the bracket up by the manifolds.

Mine is a 96 and has inline cats. I bought all 4 studs and nuts, and all new Toyota hardware to assemble it and I will only use Toyota gaskets. The first set I used the gaskets that came with it and they lasted a month. I guess I showed all my parts earlier.

I currently have 386,800 miles on the truck, so I have about 6800 miles on the new exhaust.

If you have a 94, you can install a 95+ exhaust system, but you have to add some hangers and the exhaust will route under the frame on the passenger side, not over it. I think you may have to change exhaust manifolds as well and move your O2 sensors to the manifolds, then plug the ports on the new exhaust.

Thanks, man. That is all good information. I've already got the O2 sensors moved up to the manifold, and I've got a couple of block off plates that I made, so that wouldn't be a problem at all. The exhaust on my wife's rig is such a mess that I wouldn't dare post of pic of it... lol.

I've noted the part #s that you posted up. That's a huge help.

Ok. So it will take a little massaging, but it sounds like it'll work for the '94. I'll need to cut, re-angle and weld up the exit to avoid crushing it while wheeling.

There are a couple folks on Mud that did the conversion and posted about it.

I think the hangers on the inside of the frame are either missing or in a different location for behind the muffler. Maybe find a bracket from a 95+ and add it to yours.

I'll start poking around. I've got a spare set of '94 manifolds... as the downpipes on my wife's rig have become one with the manifolds... lol.

Unless you're looking to use them as a template, not sure that will help.
I have the old downpipe from my 96 if you need measurements from where they connect to the manifolds

Thank you for that. When I get around to it, I'll hit you up.
