BT-45 Toy

I had an 02 LC with nav and I bought a BT-45 to have Bluetooth capabilities. I absolutely loved it, worked flawlessly, didn’t junk up the screen, never had any issue with connectivity or sound quality.

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago I was hit by a drunk driver and totaled by LC. Right now I am looking at a 01 LX 470 without nav. I read on the specs of the BT45 that it is not compatible with 01 LX without nav. I was wondering if there were a wire or something that would make it compatible, or if I will have to find another way to get Bluetooth capabilities if I were to buy this LX.

So you're in a world of options now that you don't have NAV. You could swap out for any number of aftermarket head units since your HVAC controls are not tied into the nav anymore.. Im sure USA SPEC has an option that will work for you if you don't want to get rid of the factory stereo look . Personally I would love to swap out my head unit for a modern Android auto setup but I've got NAV and there isn't a reliable solution out there. Currently using BT45

Contact USA SPEC and ask what works with your vehicle. Its been 7+ years since I installed. Would need to make sure you have the right connectors on the back of head unit for USA spec to tie in

Since you are still shopping around I'd put stuff like that low on your priority list and focus more on ; rust, maintenance history, AHC condition ( when looking at LX market )

Everything else is less important.
