Larry and I purchased the red truck together as a parts rig and nearly killed ourselves trying to load it. Since decided to use it as a trail rig. It sits in Landry Mannor. I have a 79 that I'm selling only b/c it's hard to focus and fix up both rigs at once and quite honestly, I just don't have the space. My wife said to keep it but that's not fair to her w/ the limited garage space. The kids love it and I hate to part w/ it. However, it's time.

Thanks for asking.

hello all

well hello, you guys don't know me but you know my dad (harold guidry) and my cruiser (he's borrowing it...). i've been doing some browsing and i want to get back in to the cruiser lifestyle. i spoke with my dad today and he's lined up to look at another one that i can take over once again....hopefully. i live in texas now but i still make the occasional visits. theres alot of trails here but no real machines to run them so we'll see.

Welcome. Your dad is a great guy to hang out w/ and just a super person. That rig of his (yours) is one very yellow ride. It's super. You need to see it on the plaque that we gave Musson Patout (in one of our threads).

There are many many rides in TX and you just have to do a bit of searching. The Lone Star Land Cruisers is a HUGE group and I'm willing to bet someone is selling their rig for you to pick up.

Good luck and thanks

Scott

Welcome :) and glad you chimed in. Its been a joy hearing the story of your rig and your Dad is preserving and maintaining your cruiser well. We look forward to catchin up to you on one of your visits. Stay in touch. I'm sporting your factory rims on my rig, I appreciate you letting me have them. After a blasting and paint they are working out great. Thanks.

oh the cruiser is all him now i just want my own now.

LOL, it'll be nice to have one to drive there and here. You can never have enough cruisers. I'm building one for my Dad as well :)

Scott we need details on the 79' I'm sure we all know somone that will take that machine of of your hands. I have a friend that ask me everytime I see him to sell him mine. Another good place is the UL football games. I drove mine last year to a few games, if i needed the money I had some very good offers from some guys that looked like they had the money to pay.

hell we could always use a new one in our stable even have a nice indoor storage place for it. snug as a bug in a rug. i have admired the fine work and time you invested in this truck. let people in the club have a crack at it! unless she is spoken for. i could see it now with a nice oem pakistani soft top and and matching doors in od green like the red truck in this thread.

You found the right place, we're all obsessed here.

My wife asked me today when is this going to stop, and I told here that it will stop when we sale it. So i have to prioritize the things i buy. I think i have her bam boozled on the things I need. So this week it looks like a new sofa, tie rod ends, and maybe a winch. The locker and tires later next week.
