What was wrong with the 5160's John? I would think they were the superior shock.

One of the Bilstiens started seeping some oil and the Rancho's are adjustable so going to try and soften the front some.

Big Bad Trucks
Premiere Date:November 19, 2013 - 09:00-10:00PM ET

Is it possible for a truck to be comfortable, easy to drive, and still maintain its toughness? To find out, the guys select their favorite no-expense-spared light duty truck and put them to the test in a series of escalating challenges to determine if they can perform both car and truck duties. The showdown culminates at a working airport where they'll each attempt to tow a massive 727 airplane.

I agree :D but it kinda sucked to have Rut driving it he's like a Carebear behind the wheel, LOL. He let the V6 take him ?????? The Stig should have drove it and it clearly wins :)

Keep us posted on how the shocks work. I'm trying to stiffen up the front end on mine and was also looking at the adjustable shocks.

Put some 5100's on Erin's 4Runner to help with the nose dive during braking. On the .85 setting it leveled out well with no alignment issues yet. The KDSS sway bar was a pain in the butt to hook back up, but that was the hardest part of the install.

So how's the nose dive now? The wife's got a 13 4R and that's one of my biggest complaints!

Better, but still noticeable, read about some people swapping to stiffer springs with different results. Thinking the 1.75" setting would start affecting the front components more and require some lift in the rear.

If the front is diving, could it be the front brake are working more than the back, maybe worded wrong, because there is more weight, but something to the effect that the brakes arnt sufficient enough? Thanks Cody Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

All of the weight is always going to shift forward. Your front brakes always do most of the work. If you add more power to the rear, you are likely to just skid as the weight unloads to the front. Once the rears break traction, the will try to lead the front.

Learned that in Schlumberger's driving school ;)

On a side note here's another option to cook that Turkey next week
