Sucks when you do something good for s***ty people. Rest easy Josh knowing your heart was in the right place, but just be a little more cautious. If it was someone I didn't know, I am sorry to say I never would have let them in the car. Growing up in New Orleans and seeing the stupid things that people will kill you over these days, I have a family to think of. Does this douche work with you or was he just hanging out at the heliport? Sounds like he is due for an ass kicking.

I really think I am going to stop even trying to help people.

Guy at the Heliport needed a ride home said his wife was sick. He lived not far out of my way so I said hop in. Asked to use my phone, said his wife needed a prescription picked up. Drove him by the Walgreen near where he said he lived. About 5 min later he came out and said his copay was more than he had, he had the cash at the house could he borrow just till I drop him off. Figured it would be cool I mean the poor guys wife Is sick.

Wait 15 min and go in to look for him. Cashier said the guy I descibed had his debit card turned down then came back with cash for a carton of kools and a six pack...

Fxxxer.

Sorry to hear bud your a good guy and believe me your not the only one us that fell for a scam artist because we wanted to help. I firmly believe those that scam good hearted folks it will come back on them two fold. It's sad but those few ruin it for those that really need the help. He'll get whats coming to him when he scams the wrong guy ;)

...dude, don't let it get you too down. You did it out of the goodness of your heart and that hasn't changed no matter what he did.

...Remember you did the right thing ... he didn't

The folks who are getting the free stuff don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop.

And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even morefree stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... the people who are forcing the people who pay for thefree stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So... the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for thefree stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place. We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people gettingfree stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded.

The reason?

The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 236 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff.

We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

Man, it has been running through my head since it happened what I would do if I saw him again. I dont think the bumper on my f350 will take a lick like the ranchhand on my dodge would is the thought that keeps going through my head.

There needs to be a bounty on worthless people and thiefs.

And hot on the heels of my "I aint helping nobody speech" Just got word from a friend of mine who got married in June that the chick he dated for THREE WEEKS before marrying has fell off the wagon (when they started dating he was trying to help her get over her prescription drug addiction) and has spent every dime he has up in Arkansas. He calls me for legal advice on how to get a quick divorce (Something I know jack about), how he can get out of his lease agreement(I have never rented anything but have watched enough judge shows to know that you don't) And what he can do about his Second car that he had got for her to drive but is in his name. Told him to call a junk yard and sell it for scrap so she doesn't take off in a car in his name and kill someone but my inner pushover is saying I should go up there with my nice new trailer that has never hauled anything but the lumber that its deck is made of and haul his car back down here so he does not take such a beating on selling it.

And I sit here typing this wondering why I think yall would want to know any of this and trying to convince myself that it is not my problem and I should let him take care of himself. I dont drink but sometimes I think it would atleast let me not worry so much sometimes.

Not goign to need the trailer, he is already on his way home. She must have got wind of him planning to leave because when he got home today she had cleared everything out of the apartment, his TV,xbox, ps3 and well pretty much everything. He cant find the keys to his older car and she wont say where they are and she is hanging out with her "friends" downstairs. I told him he needs to call the cops and report all the stuff stolen but he thinks that you cant file a police report against a spouce... But at any rate there is nothing for me to do right now to help him.

In happier news I had a package delivered while I was away! My bender and die came in, just waiting on the stand :D. It is a heavy bastard.

Series one car too far on Discovery looks worth watching for tricks you can use out on the trails. Don't care for their choice in vehicles but maybe they wanted an inferior vehicle so they can show you how to fix it :) Sundays at 9 pm :)

I see a broken axle in there future unless it not locked front and rear. I think it will be cool to watch , but would have been more enjoyable to watch with a Toyota in the series :D .

That was a tease larry, I wanted to see that heep fall into the creek!!!

I agree Albert :), it looked to be open diffs on the clip climbing the dunes but that doesn't mean they don't have lockers. At least they got the diesel version or at least is sounded like in in the video clips I watched.

LOL, yea I watched a few of them and their all teasers. I set the DVR for tomorrow to record the series.

Watched the show ... not bad. Wanna see if this is a series that's gonna last at all, what other vehicles they'll choose from.

I have nothing "against" the J**P, just all the BS they give others. Wasn't a bad show just hard to believe that that trail wasn't pre-planned

Same here bud, I found myself LMAO at the Asian guy as he is sitting in the J**p giving instructions to the British Special Forces guy doing all the work. I was waiting for him to tell the guy to keep the J**p and he'll find his own way out. I definitely saw some open trails as they navigated down the river looking for a crossing and again after they crossed it which kinda defeats the story of the show. I know J**p sponsored the show which is the reason for their choice but if I were in South America having to tackle some of the toughest jungle terrain the BJ70 and 71's are king while still being on the light side and short wheel base with the diesel engine and factory lockers I've seen them submarine them under the water and beat the crap out of them and they keep on coming for more. They dominate in the 4X4 Fun Races http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUCO3A9ycy8

On a side note the trick with the jumper cables to start a fire in the rain and the use of the ratchet straps on the log bridge were cool tricks to add to the tool kit

...and on another note, saw Safe House this weekend... great show w/ a Toyota truck (? BJ 70's series) and an FJ60. Unfortunately they blew up the dang 60 into a million pieces.:crybaby:
