Sorry i miss u Larry, i been living at a friends house four the past mouth in haft me and the wife are not seeing eye to eye. Now every body knows. I don`t think i be doing to many trips.

sorry bout that hope ya can work it out

still B a makin Sicily Island.:steer:

I was in the stock 3500 class (I guess I need to loose weight because I weighed in at 3550). I still had the 3-point, belt wheel, etc on. All were antiques. I took 2nd (of 4) in my class with 249.3. Almost did a full pull. The guy that beat me got a full pull with an H. I had him beat HP wise but he had a better setup with tires and weight. She had a lot more in here but those tires just wouldn't hold on. I was tempted to do another run with lower pressures, but it's all for fun and if I "go into it too much" I would end up breaking something and the fun would end. I'm still trying to fix GSMTR damage on the yota so the last thing I need to do right now is replace a head gasket on one of the tractors.

For those interested, I'll post a photo album link when the upload finishes. I posted a steam tractor pull on youtube as well. This event was done by the 3 Sisters antique tractor club (which I joined today). Should be more to event to come in the near future.

On a side not, I hope to get over to TCCC next weekend. I won't be running the yota due to me not having all of my parts installed yet, however I will get pictures and video if I do go.

when it was done around my area Bourbonnais il not too long after mule pulls:lol:

ya brought what ya thought was your best tractor to the state fair when I say brought mean ya drove it to the fair did your pull and drove it back home so it would B back n the field on Monday the most ya did was give it a bath & if you had time give it a quick wax job.
now its a sport that pays $$$$

We could have drove the tractors (my dad had the 1939 Case SC) since it was only 3 miles, but those narrow-steers aren't that much fun on the road. They get death wobble pretty quick. Here's my pics from today.

COOL:bounce::bounce2:

Yup not a whole lota fun with a narrow front end:steer:

used an International 450 to pull the wagon train aka 5/6 wagons from the field to the elevator at 28+ mph LOL with brakes only on the rear hubs on separate pedals didn`t like the pedal bar as u used them it would change brake bias sooooo was better to heal n toe em

keep U awake & on ya toes:D heal too:)

I really love those steam engines. So fun to watch and it is funny that even with how complex and difficult they are to operate, they were the "easy way" when compared to hand work and mules.

Cool pics, you guys have all the fun events up there with tractor pulls and crash derby at all the state fairs.

They have some guys in Indian Bayou, La with a couple of stem tractors along with other antique farm equipment. They brought them to Vermilion Ville for a demostration during some river celebration/ fair. Very cool to watch the start up.

Oh man, I have missed all of the demo's since I moved up here. I can't wait to take my German wife to one, I'm sure it would blow her mind. I'm slowly corrupting her to our V8, burn fuel, drive for fun, crash cars mentality. Ever heard the song a****** by Dennis Leary? I like the ending.

Erin and I both enjoyed the derby. Helped a buddy build a crown vic a few years ago and ran it in Jasper, Tx for a $5000 purse. Lost the starter in the first heat and busted the welded spider gears in the 2nd. Wish they had some events closer to us.

 looks like fun, I'd sure go if they were closer. Sorry to hear it didn't last longer

Sorry to hear that bud :frown:, your among friends and I sure hope everything works out. We all hit bumps in the road its just hanging on to get through them.

Probably wouldn't be hard if you got a good following. All you need is flat ground, barriers, insurance, etc. The hard part down there would be finding cheap boats to demo that don't have $2000 worth of rims on them. My dad used to part own a salvage yard and we used to help a guy build demos. We used to cheat by putting 10 ply implement tires on them. The cars would be crushed cans, but the tires would be fine. I always loved watching the big wagons go full speed reverse and use the big rear for a sacrificial bumper.

How you been bud you must be staying busy you've been quite latley?

haha yeah busy, with school starting, and everything else.

also it looks like i'm going to have to back out of the SCC, too much going on and too little money. we are starting to do a some house shopping and as such are spending lots of money to get other bills paid off. I'm thinking I will still make the SI trip in Nov. though.

didn't want to clog up the for-sale so i put my reply here.

ironic(since i was just talking about not spending money), but........merry christmas to me!!!!!!

Tow Truck dropped this one off this am at the dealership, bent the upper control arm like a pretzel but those control arms with that lift are less than impressive. :whoops:
