I certainly like their choice in vehicles :D and I'm sure the aussies feel at home in them it seems like everything I ever see that is filmed down under has Land Cruisers or the Hilux pickup in it.

Couldn't agree more Paul. I couldn't find the kids size I was telling you about Albert but I've seen them in the store just can't seem to find them online at this moment. This one at Bass Pro shows three different size options that may fit your needs, though not at thick as the Megellen it maybe plenty comfy enough.

Therma-Rest® Trail™ Pad Mattresses

Thanks ya'll.

Larry once I build the bsae and install it in the truck I'll give a call to borrow your set up to see how the :princess: likes it.

Anytime you ready bud :), I found this site and I like the design with aluminum frame and storage underneath but think its too high from the floor. If it was half the height I think it would be nice. :) May follow your lead for the Moab trip and build one for the two kids and dog to fit in a Mega Cab. Angled aluminum frame that could be hinge and pin design to foldup and take out with a 1/2 or 3/4 plywood mattress base that could easily be put in the back of the truck when not used could be a sweet setup. Even on the trips where I may need it :D

Yea I like the idea of keeping it low with the 3/4" plywood base with hinged legs and build off it with the foam and then the air mat on top. The last link is not to my liking.Like you suggested when not in use fold up and save in the shed till next time.

Sorry to hear that Mike :frown: a little over a year on that set sucks. Did he change all of the bearing when he did it?
Well it went out today:mad: Made it back to the house. Got my Dad Toyota van coming. Start on it tomorrow after work.

That terrible especially since you have the bigger V-6 third member, I would try another shop for a rebuild.
What brand name are using?
Got the Genuine Gear R/P from 4Wheel Parts in the 4Runner.

what lead to the failure? How did you know it was about to go? I am interested in finding out the cause. Mine makes noise, but always has, at what point should I get worried?

Using crush sleeve or spacer on the pinion Mike?
Going with the solid pinion spacers for the pickup instead of the crush sleeves in the red dragon.

Thats my issue on the front end of the 80 heating up the crush sleeve left to much slack and is causing noise at coast when I let off the gas. Never used the solid spacer before but I have one from trailgear here on my desk to hopefully extinguish the issue, I have the front is disconnected right now to avoid applying torque and causing any abnormal wear. :frown: live and learn it often comes at a cost.

I`m using Yukon gears, it post to be the best, hhmm. Ryan, mine start Fri. it sounded like two cans hitting together, now it sounds like a mad man with a big :censor: hammer:frown: I`m in need for some jack stands.

Ok, I've heard that sound before and luckily, it's nothing that I am hearing now. Right now I just get whine and maybe a rumble when I coast at 65-70.

If your looking for something on the tube to watch record it or catch the Ultimate Car build off it has been interesting to say the least. They did a spy car this week and have done 2 4WD projects. It looks fun especially when someone else is paying for the cars and parts to play with. :D
