I'll try to be patient and EARN a worthy user title. Of course, patience is not usually one of my virtues so thanks for the "work around." Aw heck, who am I kidding? I'll probably have mine changed before tomorrow.
Man, I am stoked! I ordered my new tires today - BFG Mud Terrain, 33x10.50-15r. Can anyone tell that the "Broom Rider" has been out of town for a few days? I found the time to order the tires and I've been posting like a mad man. It's a good thing she doesn't leave too often. I'd be useless for most other things besides Cruiser stuff.

LOL, I practically live in here. I'd love put a time calculator on my account to see how many hours I'm logged in. I'm down from 3 monitors on my desk to 2 now at the office but one of them always has MUD going in the background.

I did hear a few of the LA 4x4 guys talk about some great trails that they went on with babysitting...they were talking about how one of the guys expressed that he felt like he needed permission to do this or that or try this or that...didn't sound too fun to me...It sounded to me like its alright if you are WITH them...but you don't really feel the FREEDOM so to speak...unless of course you are with a friend (think Dan's friend)...anyway, he went on to talk about how one of them actually got in trouble, etc. Apparently, what I think happens is this: Someone gives permission to a group to ride an area...then a MINORITY (or single person even) goes out and does something that's NOT TREADLY LIGHTLY so to speak...gets drunk, tears up everything , etc...and ruins it for the whole group and then they want to sue, press charges, etc...that kind of thing...
Just more reason to get out to Sicily Island, etc.

I'm putting the tires on factory rims as well. BTW, I ordered them at Sam's. I made a lot of calls - even to the National Tire folks out of some of the 4x4 magazines. Sam's was the cheapest - thanks to Larry for that bit of advice! $168.32/tire - I bought five. They'll take 5 -7 working days to come in.
Glad to hear it, I usually buy my tires from Discount Tire http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.jsp I went to them after Tire Rack started charging taxes and shipping for having an in state store. Discount Tire don't charge taxes and last couple times I ordered form them shipping was free. Unfortunatley they didn't carry the 33x10.50 MT's. Sam's was cheaper than anyone else but they did have to special order them. No charge for shipping to the store and they were there in three days. Post up some updated pics in the rig section when you get it all done.

Actually yes and no. They have been laying around since I bought them and had them painted last summer. I got 'em straight from Musson Patout, brand new. I also bought brand new hub cpas from the dealer at the same time. I don't remember what everything cost me. Of course, the rims were black so I had to have them painted gray. The color is a tad bit lighter than I would have liked but it was done free so I aint complainin' yet. After I put the tires and hubcaps on, I'll make the determination as to how long I go before actually removing them and having them powdercoated with the exact Toyota color code.

NEGATIVE ON THE BROWN HORNET NAME!!!! Crap like that will stick forever. The guys on the 60s forum have a poll going on general names - one being "Slow Turd" which actually isn't that far off from the truth lately. Anyway, I'm working on the name. And she's golden, not brown.
