Mountainside Offroad Park - Gadsden, Alabama

Looks like an interesting place to check out and its also near a beautiful campground/park we use to camp at Noccalula Falls. I'll stop in and take a look around on my way up to my folks place the last week in July, 1st week in August. We pass through Gadsden on I59. Might be a good trip.

Nice place, does it take longer to get to?

I've been invited mulitple times to join friends and family on facebook and really wasn't interested but finally caved in trying to look at sent links and created a login. Besides all the crazy posting I can't keep up with I saw other clubs and companies on there so decided to add a group for the club. Figured if it brought a couple friends or family in to see what we're about it may be worth the trouble. So here it is.

I've been thinking about facebook...seems like alot of friends are on it.

I won't be able to make the meeting this weekend, Larry. I got called out for a job yesterday and am just south of San Antonio now.

We sure understand bud. I hope the job goes well for you. Shoot me a PM when you get back and I'll keep my eye out for 80's. :)

King of the Hammers coverage on Extreme 4x4 today, that race looks like it would be just as much fun to watch as to race.
Maybe it will replay tomorrow before you guys head to the meeting.

Well the 40 is getting a new home

Bumping this TTB we received the following email from Wade the owner.

Wanted to let you and the club know about the 1977 FJ40 I have for sale in Lafayette! Here are a few pictures. This FJ was purchased out of Seattle about 6 years ago as a project. After owning her for a number of years now and putting alot of time and money into the project, I am ready to sell and move on to another project. This FJ is mechanically sound and is stock other than a few items:

*Adjustable Rancho shocks
*Full family roll cage
*Man-A-Fre header
*3 inch lift

The interior has been totally redone and is near perfect. There is a small bit of rust on the front fenders, but other than that it is relatively rust free for a vehicle of it's age. I did replace the metal plates in and around the cargo area as they had more rust than I could tolerate. The work was done by a company in Dallas that specialized in Landcruiser restorations. The interior was then totally repainted. I am asking $8,700.00, which is well below what I have in it and priced competitively for '77 Landcruiser in this condition.

Please call me if you are interested.
