I was told by a few LUS folks the other day this place has the best BBQ in town. Has anyone tried it.

Johnson's does have awesome pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, and plate lunches. Also the best boudin in town! (Saturday mornings only though). Great sausage and tasso too.

I am biased though...I grew up eating the stuff in Eunice. The one here in Lafayette is run by the daughters of one of the brothers who owned Johnson's Grocery in Eunice for decades, at least back as far as 1950. The brothers are in their 80's and retired/sold the store in 2007. The story is one of the daughters started making sausage at home for friends and family, and before long she was making 100 lbs a weekend to give away. Her husband is an architect and designed the cool retro looking Acadian style store and now both sisters work there. Their dad also works there on weekends.

Discovery has a great series in HD Natures-Most-Amazing-Events and has some really awesome camera work if you're into the Nature shows. I really enjoyed how they got in the thick of the action. Sure beats the Mutual Of Omaha specials we use to watch as a kid. :lol:

Jon is training in MS and I don't know of anyone else that would do those for us :frown: Scott wanted a few things too :hhmm:

It may be too short notice tho even if we could contact her.

No Jon's in US Army training so lets not bother him. He said he would have limited access to his phone. Brad at the Rhino Linings of NI said Jon did some stickers there with him. Might be the same samples Jon gave us. They maybe able to do it on short notice. His number is in the sponsors and vendors thread.

Don't mind the beeps but looking at some pics from a recent Paradise ride I couldn't believe what I saw :eek: Look how the flooding in the river eroded half the beach area. We better get back out there before its all gone.

Thats a tough bank to climb out of in the sand I think they made the right decision. You remember how many vehicles it took to get that red 60 out the last trip. Sand is very tricky to drive in especially when there is water added in the mix. Maybe we can get the property owner to show us how its done :lol:
