Brush Guard Guide?

Is there a brush guard guide thread w/ pics and the manufacturer of each one? I tried searching for one but didn't have much luck. Yes, I'm aware of the whole "damage multiplier" thing on the OEM units, but even those I've noticed subtle differences (or at least I've had ppl pass off different ones as being OEM). For example:

I've been told this was OEM (blank...doesn't have the smaller bars across the headlights):

Then there's this one, w/ the smaller bars across the headlight area, but this one extends well below the corner lights. Plus, that thicker bar that extends below the corner lights goes back to the vertical frame bar in the middle of the brush guard in a 100% straight fashion:

The one below is similar but different than the one pictured above in that the brush guard stops short of the corner lights, and the thicker bar goes back to the vertical frame bar in the middle of the brush guard in a curved fashion:

So now I have NO idea which unit is which. And plz hold off on the "doesn't matter; they're all damage multipliers" response haha.

Can you tell 'em part (eg, from the pics above)? And I take it that's diff than OEM? Or was the OEM unit made by one of those 3?

Just get an ARB bumper (or something similar.)

I don't see it as costing much more than a brush guard, and the protection factor vs. "damage multiplier" factor is much smaller.


(PS- my rig has neither an ARB bumper or brush guard as of yet... I have weighed the pros and cons of both, and decided an ARB is where its at.)

this is the one that came on my cruiser(LX450) when I bought it last year. Looks like your second pic.

There wasn't an OEM one. There were dealer installed ones which is the one I have which is WAAG. The WAAG is your third pic. We found out later that WAAG is short for Waagoner. My wife went to school with the owners daughter, Wendy Waagoner.
