Hey guys,
The right rear stock spring pack on my 85, 70 series, currently has 4 out of the 6 leaves, that I counted, broken right in front of the axle.
The logical course of action is to install a lift kit. The economical choice is to see if anyone has at least a pair of rear springs off a 70/73/74 truck, (or the rear springs off a 60 as recomended here): https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=84512&highlight=stock+springs, that someone’s recently put a lift on. Better yet a set of 4 (f/r), that at the very least aren’t arching backward, ideally, still not quite flat, and if I’m really lucky, barely sagged at all from new.
Hopefully for the cost of shipping and the cost of enough beer to make the packaging, and dropping off at the bus station, worth your while. I’m sure I’m dreaming, but you never know unless you ask.
Email me if you have something, and you’d like to get rid of them, cheap. turtle79@shaw.ca
Call me if you have something, and you’d like to take them to the bus stop right away, because they’re in your way and you’re tripping over them. (403) 585-6131
Thanks
Chris McPherson
