History: bought dif used. Zuk (Ken) went through it, ran for a couple years. Flooded axle with water but didn’t realize till pinion started making noise. Replaced bearings, and continued running dif. Got a little heavy on skinny pedal snow wheeling on a snow run last winter. Truck sat for 8 months while I was away on an all expense paid vacation. Got back drove for a couple weeks and noise was terrible. Pulled to swap in another dif. Here’s what I found.

Pinion setting failed and dropped pinion into the carrier and ring gear. Toss it all and start over. BTDT.

When it came time to add ARB's & change ratios it was easiest to just call Marlin and get 'em sent to me.

I knew something was wrong. So had my spare dif rebuilt by Zuk@gearsinstall with a Grizzly. I’ve had an ongoing problem with gear oil pushing up line to compressor then temp drops and thickened oil prevents ARB from locking. Grizzly is sooo much amoother than Lock-Right albeit i’ve only driven it 50 miles.
