This should make you laugh. Decided to tinker on the Cruiser after work today. Pulled it into the shop at closing time lowered the tailgate to access my Craftsman set and began to "tinker". Tinkerin went as planned, done and time to pick up. Put my tools back in the case on the tailgate first and then began putting the companies tools back up. Tools up, hands washed, shop locked up...time to go home. Figure out what I forgot? Never closed the tailgate. Didn't close the Craftsman case either. Drove a half mile down the county road to an intersection with a state hwy. Take off and turn left onto the hwy. Tink! tink! CLANG! CLANG! The case flips and lands upside spilling everything. :bang: 1OO+ pieces now litter the northbound lane. It's also dark so I swing around and park behind the stop sign facing west and on the debris. By now several cars have passed spreading everything. I hop out wait till traffic is clear, luckily not a busy hwy, and grab the case. Not hit! but empty. Still no traffic so I grab a handful of tools. Cars are coming:steer:, back off and put what I have in the floorboard. Not going to work. I almost wanted to leave but tools are exspensive, so are hospitals and funerals. Run back to the shop, with tailgate closed, and grab pushbroom and big dustpan. Get back and park in the same spot. More cars TINK! TINK! that will leave a mark. No cars, so I start sweeping and watching for cars. Brother-n-law passes and stops to help. Get all we can see. In the end I'm only missing 3 sockets out of 1OO+ tools:clap: not bad other than being a dumb@$$. Hopefully your day was better:lol:

I think I can equal that...See below but suffice to say, I did something I always warn people about and paid the price yesterday evening for my carelessness. I learned a lesson, but make no promises I won't repeat it at some point.

I was drilling some stock to act as a backing plate for relocating the interior door mechanism on my halfdoor project. Drill spun the stock right into my face...:hillbilly::shotts:

Always Clamp the piece your drilling...dumbass

Lucky I know a great plastic surgeon who was kind enough to meet me at his office ~ 7pm and sew me up...back within the hour working on the Cruiser and finished mounting the handles...

And nicely done there Shirley.

5 years from now, the story will have changed to how you got cut in a knife fight with a gang of Domek's distant kinfolk defending the honor of some helpless maiden. :grinpimp:

Chicks dig a good story to go along with the scars too ... and never ... ever ... let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Common Sense at Barns & Nobles

I happen to work with some people with very little experince in general. Some of these people don't know common sense, much less the meaning of it. There's this guy at work, Charlie, that I keep telling him about using his common sense. One time he got me. I was a little short on my common sense that I almost cut a finger and fall. Charlie told me "use your common sense Sir". He was right! I told him, good one Charlie!

He said Barns & Nobles Sir! I am like, what does that have to do with anything? Charlie said "I went got myself one of them books of common sense you keeep talking about it!" Ja! Ja! Ja!

Word of advice, go to Barns & Nobles and get yourself one of them Common Sense Book that Charlie bought! Ja! Ja! There some other ones can racall the name, I believe is something for Dummies.

"the story will have changed to how you got cut in a knife fight with a gang of Domek's distant kinfolk defending the honor of some helpless maiden."

You damn right that the story will change! Someone else will have similar scars like Todd's

Some one that claims "I am the President and You ain't " Ja! JA!
