  • i just read supercharlies thread about a 1980 box for sale. I have an '83 that I need a short box for. I'm looking into supercharles, however, I understand that the '89 to '95 short boxes fit well on the older minis. How about some of the newer tacoma boxes? Anyone tried this or measured one up? If I can't find a decent older box, I might go with a clean newer one that fits decent.

the 89-95 boxes dont just bolt on, you have to weld a gusset.

the reason guys use those, is they are power, and the pitman moves from left to right. and that allows the high steer setup to be used. look at marlin crawler.com

never actually tried to swap the two early years of boxes your talkin about. i dont see why they would not work.

Sorry WristPin....this thread is about Truck Pickup Boxes, not the steering boxes
