Bolt size ?

Anyone know what size for the tranny to belhouseing on a 3 speed? I went to Ace and it isn't 12 or 14MM or 1/2" . Is there a 13mm bolt?

Go back to ACE and buy one of those $5 plastic bolt sizeing templates....will allow you to easily narrow down diameter and thread pitch....

my guess is, they don't carry the correct pitch for what you need....my local True Value has an amazingly good collection of bolts and hardware, or check with mscdirect.com for online ordering.

Ya , I used thier size gage and found it wasn't a 12 or 14mm but now looking at it I think the thread part it worn down from the holes not lining up well. I guess I'll try a 14mm and see. Really bums me that I have to go to Fastnal as all the auto parts and hardware stores here suck at stocking fastners.

I don't know if this will help but I used the 17mm wrench on it when taking it out.

If I get a chance tonight I'll see if I can measure it.

Ah and there's the rub. Mine have a 19mm head and I can't get the top right one to turn next to the SM465 monster I put in. Looking for a cap head the right size.
