Howdy all,
I picked up a 1988 FJ62 last year - it's my second Cruiser (had an FJ60 25 yrs ago). My alternator is bad. I ordered a new Pure Energy unit. I'm new at wrenching but going to attempt to replace it this weekend.
I read in another thread that some replacements require a 5" bolt on the bottom instead of the equipped 4.5". I measure the old and new alternator and sure nuf, I'll need a bolt .5" longer
Does anyone know what spec bolt this is? I'd like to get the bolt before this project so that I don't have to run to the shop in the middle of it.
