bogger wear

i hear that the boggers wear faster then a tsl.
anyone know about this?
would it make much difference with thin or fat tsl or bogger?
would you concider useing the bogger for a trail vehicle, or only
for "the professional bogger"?

Ran Boggers for years on my Big blazer. Ran 44x19.5x16.5 on custom 16.5x 14 wheels for the rockwells. Setting my current Jimmy to run the 39.5 version. They wore pretty quick, much chunking, and road noise. Now bear in mind that my rig weighed in at 7800lbs. fully loaded. I got about 22k-27k out of them. Ran at 18-23lbs of pressure. I ran wider but the rock thing kinda revolves around mobility and ease of turn. So figure intial contact patch narrow, then tire ability to "squish out". I like the large lugs of the boggers and the ability to get in/out of anything I wanted to. The boggers orginally had some pretty pliable sidewalls and would air down well. The new 39.5" I have now seem to be stiffer and the tire compound is noticablly harder. I am going with 35x12.50x15 radial xterrains on 15x10 rim to see what they do for me now. Though with a FJ40 that weighs almost half of my big blazer I have no clue as to what the tread life would be.
