Does anyone know the original thickness of the body mount bushings for a 77 year? Thinking of cutting some from bulk materials. Does anyone know of cheap alternatives. Should I use aluminum, poly, or stick w/ rubber?

I do know they're not all the same thickness or diameter. Is your rubber shot & you are thinking of long term durability? I had some pucks made from UHMW for my body lift. You'll prolly need 2 different O.D. sizes cuz the 2 under the radiator are a bit smaller O.D. than the rest.

Good idea. How is the ride? Ultra high molecular weight polyeurethane, right? What were the thicknesses you had cut, and how much of a body lift did that give?

Dunno about the ride yet as it's still under construction. I have a 1 1/2" body lift, 2" O.D. for the front 2 under the radiator & 2 1/2" O.D. for the others. If you are going to replace the rubber, they are adhered to washers top & bottom on all the mounts.

Awesome, but what are the actual static heights of the bushings (pre-loaded)? It seems that there are several different thicknesses of bushing at the various mount points. I hesitate to mic the gap between body/ frame of my pig due to the fact that it is NOT sitting where it did 33 years ago>

Have a look at my build thread, I'm using the bushing set that SOR sells along with a combination of the old washers. The photos I have aren't quite right, but they are close. I will wrap it up and update photos in the next couple of weeks.
